Steubenville 2004
June 27-29
This summer, more then 30,000 high school teens hear a call that they might
never heard before:
RISE UP! And you might be surprised to hear from who.
Over the past three years, the Scranton Diocese has been sending teens and young
adults to a birthplace of one of the strongest charismatic movements in the
Catholic Church. The town is named Steubenville, and the place is the
Franciscan University. For the past 30 years, Catholics have been coming
together here and looking forward to deepening their relationship with Christ.
This year was no exception.
Early on Friday, June 25th, Fifty-five teens and their adult chaperones
hopped onto a Martz bus for seven hours to what would assuredly be a journey to
remember for a lifetime. Another 17 would set out on a different bus from East
Stroudsburg to meet us there.
