Gate of Heaven and Our Lady of Victory are a faithful and holy community of Catholic
believers who are baptized, and in union with the One Holy Catholic and
Apostolic Church. We worship God - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit -
through the celebration of the Mass and reception of the Church’s
Sacraments. We serve our community and the risen Lord by living the
Gospel message and being Christ to others. As a welcoming community, we
invite all to come and share their gifts with us and receive God’s
blessings.

Gate of Heaven Summer Music Camp 2010 A
summer youth music camp was held recently at Gate of Heaven Church in
Dallas. The camp was directed by Anthony J. Kubasek with assistance from
Marilyn O'Connell and Jackie Soper. The theme of the camp was "Lord,
teach us to pray," since the gospel reading for the Sunday liturgy in
which the campers participated focused on the Lord's Prayer. Students
were given a daily lesson by Deacon Tom Cesarini about important
Catholic prayers. Other activities included choral rehearsals and games
designed to reinforce concepts learned in the daily lessons as well as
note reading skills. The campers were treated to a pizza party on the
last day of camp and an ice cream social, sponsored by the Altar &
Rosary Society, following the concluding liturgy.

OF VICTORY — ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT
The biggest fund-raiser for Our Lady of Victory is their Annual
Gold Tournament, Friday, September 10, at Mill Race Golf Course,
Benton. Mark your calendars now and reserve this date. For
registration flyers, please call the office at 639-1535.
$80/person includes: Green fees, motor cart, lunch, open bar
cocktail hour. Hors D’Oeuves and dinner back at OLV
Church, refreshments and prizes.
HOLE SPONSORS: Another aspect of the tournament is our Hole
Sponsors. Display your business name or family name as a sponsor
for the tournament. Signs will be on display for the weekend.
